About the Role

A global organization is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics and AI initiatives across Integrated Supply Chain, Finance, manufacturing, and related business functions.

This is a hands-on, strategic data science role combining machine learning, generative AI, optimization, forecasting, and advanced analytics to solve complex business problems and deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency and financial performance.

The successful candidate will also act as a key bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex analytical findings into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Generative AI and predictive analytics solutions across manufacturing and supply chain environments.
• Develop and implement agentic AI architectures, including multi-agent approaches.
• Identify high-impact opportunities across demand planning, inventory management, financial forecasting, document processing, and risk analysis.
• Develop machine learning models for areas such as supply and demand forecasting, cash-flow forecasting, financial anomaly detection, and supply chain optimization.
• Apply advanced statistical, machine learning, and optimization techniques to complex business problems.
• Lead data science projects end-to-end, from identifying opportunities and exploring data through model development, validation, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
• Work hands-on with large and complex datasets, including ERP, supply chain, and financial data.
• Establish strong data quality, model performance, monitoring, versioning, and MLOps practices.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and IT teams to understand business requirements and implement data-driven solutions.
• Translate technical analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders and business leadership.
• Measure the business impact of models and analytics initiatives, including improvements in forecast accuracy, inventory performance, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure AI and analytics initiatives follow appropriate governance, compliance, risk, and responsible AI standards.
• Provide technical leadership and thought leadership across data science and AI initiatives.
• Contribute to building and developing a high-performing data and AI team, including supporting talent development and knowledge sharing.

Ideal Background

• Strong professional experience in data science, machine learning, AI, or advanced analytics.
• Experience applying data science to supply chain, manufacturing, finance, or other complex business environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with machine learning, statistical modelling, forecasting, and optimization.
• Experience with Generative AI, agentic AI, or modern AI architectures.
• Experience taking models from experimentation through production deployment.
• Strong understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, data quality, and scalable analytics solutions.
• Ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate data into meaningful business outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to business audiences.
• Strategic mindset combined with the ability to work hands-on and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, or developing data science talent is advantageous.
