Role Description
We’re looking for a Game Designer with a strong background in casual puzzle games, ideally with 3+ years of experience in mobile game development. You’ll play a central role in designing engaging gameplay systems, crafting rewarding progression curves, and creating content that keeps players coming back for more.
You should be passionate about playing and studying games, with a deep understanding of what makes players tick. From level design to monetisation, from core loops to live ops — you'll help shape the heart of our games.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and own core gameplay systems and mechanics for casual puzzle games.
- Cooperate with level designers on creating levels and progression curves that are intuitive, challenging, and fun — with a strong grasp of difficulty balancing and player retention.
- Design and iterate on monetisation systems, including ad placements and in-app purchases, with a player-first mindset.
- Plan and execute live ops strategies, including in-game events, content calendars, and limited-time mechanics that increase engagement.
- Work closely with artists, developers, and product managers to ensure smooth implementation of designs and a cohesive game experience.
- Analyse player behaviour and game metrics to inform design decisions and optimise player retention, engagement, and monetisation.
- Stay up to date with trends in the casual and puzzle game market, constantly bringing fresh ideas and best practices to the table.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in game design, with at least one shipped title in the casual/puzzle genre.
- Proven experience with level design, complexity curve design, and progression balancing.
- Strong understanding of free-to-play monetisation, ad integration, and in-app purchase strategies.
- Experience in planning and managing live operations and in-game events.
- Analytical mindset with familiarity using game analytics tools to guide design.
- Passion for games — as a player, thinker, and designer. You love breaking down game systems and discovering what makes them great.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Intermediate English proficiency (or higher).
What We Offer

- Creative ownership and the opportunity to leave your mark on products played by millions.
- Rapid professional development — join an ambitious team where your voice is heard, and your growth is a priority.
- A chance to work in a tight-knit, startup environment where creativity and passion are celebrated.
