Position : Social Media Manager

Client Industry : Marketing Services

Work Hours (Client) : 9:00am - 5:00pm EST (With some flexibility and occasional extended hours as needed)

Pay Range : $1,300 to $1,800

Location of Search : South Africa

Background

You’ll take the lead in managing over 40+ client social media accounts, ensuring exceptional communication, consistent scheduling, and process-driven execution. You’ll also be the central point for client interactions, supporting our editors, strategists, and creatives by keeping content pipelines running smoothly.

This role requires autonomy, urgency, and long-term commitment (1-3+ years). You’ll report directly to leadership and work closely with internal teams across content strategy and production.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management

• Manage and maintain 40-50 client accounts across various platforms
• Curate, schedule, and publish content using tools like Sprout Social and Frame.io
• Coordinate content calls and media shoots across clients
• Monitor content performance and ensure timely delivery

Client Communication & Support

• Respond to client queries and support requests
• Represent the brand professionally in all written and verbal communications
• Ensure client expectations are managed and met proactively

Process & Workflow Management

• Develop and refine internal workflows and documentation
• Support ongoing deliverables audits and tracking
• Coordinate with editors and content creators to maintain consistency

Who You Are

• 3-4+ years of experience in social media management
• Strong client-facing communication skills (written + verbal)
• Based in South Africa (preferred) for cultural and accent alignment
• Proven experience managing multiple brands/accounts at scale
• Fluent in English with a neutral accent
• Proactive, autonomous, and solutions-oriented
• Comfortable working EST hours: 9AM-5PM EST, Mon-Fri, with some flexibility
• Long-term mindset (1-3+ year engagement ideal)

Bonus Experience

• Campaign management with paid media budgets over $10,000
• Background in client service or agency-style workflows
• Experience working with creative teams (video editors, content strategists)
