As their events program continues to grow rapidly, they are looking for a dedicated and experienced marketing professional to own their on-the-ground presence at key industry events across the EMEA region.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Field Marketing Specialist to join our client's team. In this critical role, you will be the on-the-ground marketing lead for UK trade shows and field activations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all event logistics—from booth setup to vendor coordination—run smoothly and flawlessly.

When you're not on-site, you will manage all remote field marketing operations, including bookings, budgets, and post-event reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a project management pro who loves the energy of live events and knows how to translate that activity into measurable marketing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Event Execution: Own the entire lifecycle of UK trade shows, from pre-show planning and logistics to on-site coordination, teardown, and post-event follow-up.
• Logistics Management: Manage all event logistics, including shipping, booth assets, marketing collateral, swag, lead scanners, and vendor coordination.
• On-Site Leadership: Serve as the primary marketing point person on-site, aligning with the sales team, keeping schedules on track, and troubleshooting any issues in real-time.
• Lead Capture & Management: Qualify and capture leads on-site, ensuring a clear definition of a "good lead" and facilitating a timely handoff to the sales team.
• Budget & Performance Tracking: Track all event budgets and expenses, reconcile invoices, and report on key outcomes, including leads generated, meetings booked, and ROI signals with clear recommendations.
• Remote Field Program Coordination: When not traveling, you will coordinate other field programs, such as executive dinners, small activations, and partner co-hosting, including venue sourcing and reservations.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in field marketing, events, or a closely related marketing operations role.
• Proven, hands-on trade show experience, including managing shipments, booth builds, lead scanners, and vendor relationships.
• Strong project management skills, with a knack for managing timelines, checklists, and status reporting.
• Experience with budget management, including PO creation, cost tracking, and post-event reconciliation.
• Clear and confident communication skills, with experience working directly with sales teams and external partners.
• A data-first mindset, with the ability to set clear goals and report on outcomes effectively.
• The ability and willingness to travel from South Africa to the UK multiple times per year during event seasons.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a SaaS or B2B tech environment.
• Familiarity with UK event venues and show organizers.
• Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools for lead capture and follow-up.

Work Environment & Travel

• This is a full-time, remote contractor position based in South Africa.
• You will collaborate regularly with teams in Ireland, the UK, and the United States.
