Position : E-Comm Growth & Brand Manager
Working Schedule : 9am-5pm EST
Salary Range : $3,800-$4,500 / month(the final salary will be determined by the candidate's level of experience and at the discretion of the client)
E-Commerce Growth & Brand Manager
We’re looking for a hands-on Growth & Brand Manager to own and scale direct-to-consumer (DTC) growth across our e-commerce brands, starting with Verb Energy. You’ll lead acquisition and retention strategies, oversee P&L performance, and collaborate across creative, product, and media teams to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & P&L Ownership
- Own and scale DTC growth, managing the P&L for one or more consumer brands.
- Develop and execute acquisition and retention strategies that drive revenue, improve payback, and increase profitability.
- Monitor and optimize key metrics including CAC, LTV, ROAS, AOV, churn, and subscription retention.
Acquisition & Paid Media Oversight
- Lead strategy and performance across paid media (Meta, Google, emerging channels), working with agencies or internal teams.
- Analyze media performance and optimize creative, landing pages, offers, and funnels to improve customer acquisition.
- Launch and scale new acquisition channels including influencer, affiliate, Amazon DTC, and sampling.
Retention & Lifecycle Marketing
- Own email and SMS strategy to increase repeat purchases and lifetime value (Klaviyo, Postscript, Recharge).
- Optimize subscription mechanics and loyalty/referral programs to boost recurring revenue.
- Build flows, campaigns, segmentation, and win-back strategies to maximize customer engagement and retention.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) & Funnel Improvements
- Audit and optimize landing pages, checkout experiences, and post-purchase journeys.
- Lead A/B testing and CRO initiatives to improve conversion rates and revenue per visitor.
Brand Building & Community Growth
- Partner with creative and product teams to develop viral campaigns, launch new SKUs, and scale brand presence.
- Implement organic and community-driven strategies (UGC, PR, ambassador/influencer programs).
- Manage successful product launches and build engagement around new initiatives.
Team & Collaboration
- Oversee a Chief of Staff to help execute key initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external agencies (Facebook/Google media, Amazon sales).
- Take full ownership of dashboards, reporting infrastructure, and strategic decision-making.
What Success Looks Like (6-12 Months)
- Improve subscription retention and payback for flagship brand(s).
- Hit CAC and ROAS targets across paid media for multiple brands.
- Launch at least two new scalable acquisition channels.
- Build a repeatable, multi-brand growth playbook.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on e-commerce growth experience (DTC and/or Amazon brands)
- Proven success scaling consumer brands through both paid and owned channels
- Deep expertise in Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Facebook/Google Ads, and A/B testing
- Strong background in performance marketing, CRO, and subscription growth
- Skilled at modeling and optimizing CAC, LTV, and payback to drive profitability and repeat purchases
- Experience working with and managing media buyers, agencies, freelancers, and internal teams
- Proven track record of strategic retention and acquisition marketing
- Operates with autonomy, speed, and a scrappy, ownership-driven mindset in fast-paced startup environments
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience launching new products or sub-brands.
- Familiarity with tools like Replo, Shopify A/B testing, and performance creative.
- Background in consumer health, wellness, food/beverage, or beauty.
