It’s written in a direct, accessible style to serve both new and seasoned investors.
The business relies on email as its core product, distributing to a large and growing subscriber base. Most growth is driven through paid media and strategic lead partnerships, with an emphasis on performance marketing, acquisition funnel optimization, and fast testing cycles. The internal team is lean, results-oriented, and focused on experimentation and iteration to drive subscriber growth and engagement. Role Summary
We’re looking for a Funnel Optimization & Monetization Specialist to take ownership of our newsletter sign-up path and help us monetize new leads with partner offers. Your primary goal will be to achieve break-even on Day 1 by rigorously testing different post-signup offers and flows. This is a highly analytical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys testing, learning, and optimizing conversion funnels, especially in direct response environments.
You’ll be responsible for improving sign-up flows and refining our acquisition strategy with a strong focus on conversion optimization rather than initial media buying. You should bring a sharp analytical mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to make fast, informed decisions based on performance data.
Our goal is to identify and convert high-intent leads quickly—ideally within 30-60 days—and this role will be central to testing which offers, audiences, and acquisition channels deliver those results.
- Note: The main role of the job is buying leads and then monetizing them and seeing which sources monetize the best.
- Note: Experience with beehiiv or a similar ESP (Email Service Provider) is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize Newsletter Sign-up Path: Take full ownership of improving the onboarding and sign-up flow to increase conversion rates for newsletter subscribers.
- Monetize New Leads: Design, launch, and manage tests for various post-signup offers and flows with partner offers, aiming to achieve Day 1 break-even.
- Conversion Optimization: Focus on continuously improving the conversion rates within the lead generation funnel.
- Lead Monetization Analysis: Monitor and report on which lead sources monetize best, analyzing performance to uncover trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead Gen Roadmap Ownership: Define hypotheses, design experiments, and scale what works within the lead generation and monetization roadmap.
- Marketing Campaign Support: Plan, launch, and manage digital marketing campaigns across Meta and Google Ads (agency support currently in place but may be replaced).
- Performance Strategy: Lead the performance strategy across paid platforms, optimizing spend and creative based on real-time results.
- Acquisition Funnel & Lead Magnet Development: Develop and test acquisition funnels and lead magnets to identify high-converting offers.
- Direct Email Lead Buys: Manage direct email lead buys through financial publisher networks (e.g., AfterOffers, Karmaholic Media, SparkLoop).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align messaging and audience targeting with growth and monetization goals.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2-5 years of experience in digital performance marketing, lead generation, or conversion optimization funnels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to run structured A/B tests and optimize based on data.
- Deep understanding of lead-gen funnels and post-signup user journeys.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) platforms is beneficial for understanding traffic sources.
- Comfortable managing budgets, allocating spend, and reporting on ROI.
- Experience working in newsletter, publishing, or subscription-based business models is a plus.
- Experience with financial audiences or lead networks is also a plus but not required.
- Self-motivated, independent, and results-driven.
- Comfortable working remotely with flexibility in LATAM or South Africa time zones.
- Experience with beehiiv or similar ESPs is required.
