What You'll Do

As a contract AI Engineer, you’ll serve as a key technical voice on client engagements and work as a hands-on builder who loves turning ideas into reality.

• Architect & Build: Contribute to the design and development of custom AI systems—from initial technical specs to production deployment.
• Solve Client Problems: Work directly with internal and client teams to understand business requirements, create a technical roadmap, and help execute the development plan.
• Shape Internal Practice: Help improve our frameworks, toolkits, and delivery playbooks for higher-quality and more efficient project execution.
• Harden AI Prototypes: Turn demos into production-ready services—containerized, observable, secure, and scalable.

We’re looking for engineers with experience across the modern AI-native stack. Familiarity with the tools and workflows below is a strong signal that you're the kind of deeply curious, AI-first engineer we're seeking:

AI-Native Skills (non-negotiable)

Ideation & product work

• Use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini as natural extensions of your workflow for research, notes, and spec writing
• Comfortable iterating prompts until outputs are accurate and useful

Development workflows

• Daily user of AI coding tools like Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code
• Familiar with invoking assistants via command palettes, generating unit tests, and leveraging AI for refactoring
• Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., Vercel AI SDK, LangChain) and AI-first tools (e.g., V0, Bolt.new, Lovable)

Technical Skills

Languages & frameworks

• Python (expert)
• TypeScript / Node.js
• Next.js, React, TailwindCSS, shadcn/ui

Cloud & data

• Experience deploying on AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Supabase + PostgreSQL for fast, scalable backends

System Design & Product Requirements

• Translate business goals into scalable architecture and detailed PRDs, user stories, and edge case matrices

Production hardening

• Docker for local development, Kubernetes/ECS/Fargate for production
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions or GitLab CI with automated tests, linting, and security scanning
• Observability: OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
• Performance: Redis, CDNs, rate-limiting, circuit breakers
• Security & Infra as Code: Secrets management, OWASP basics, Terraform/Pulumi for infrastructure
