Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Software Engineer (ACAPS). The role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing the ACAPS mainframe application while ensuring high-quality, secure, and compliant solutions. This engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, follow agile practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement features for the mainframe ACAPS application.
• Collaborate with software engineers to define system architecture and technical solutions.
• Apply test-driven development and maintain high code quality standards.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and communities of practice to drive technical excellence.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor teammates within the squad.
• Automate processes to ensure maintainable, testable, and supportable code.
• Partner with operations/engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.
• Stay current with IT trends, tools, and security best practices.
• Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Support end-users and assist in issue resolution.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of Mainframe/ACAPS experience.
• Strong skills in COBOL, JCL, Platform Engineering (Mainframe).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional software design.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
