Job Description

Position – how you’ll contribute

As a Python Developer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services for a high-load platform focused on sports betting and financial transactions. You will work on scalable APIs, asynchronous task processing, payment integrations, and real-time system functionality while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, performance, and smooth user experience.

Qualifications

Expectations – the experience you need

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
• Experience working with web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Commercial experience with Python (2.7) and Django (1.6).
• Hands-on experience with MySQL (v.8), Redis, and backend performance optimization.
• Experience working with Celery for asynchronous tasks and scheduled job processing.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and development using Django REST Framework.
• Practical knowledge of Backbone.js, including models, views, collections, and routing.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in English-speaking environments (minimum B2+ level).

Additional Skills - The Edge You Have

• Familiarity with Socket.IO and real-time updates functionality.
• Understanding of sports betting platforms and financial transaction systems.
• Experience integrating payment gateways and third-party services.
