Senior Python Platform Engineer

About The ROLE

In this role, you will build Python-based backend services, APIs, and automation frameworks that enable teams to integrate with the platform, manage monitoring configurations, and adopt standardized deployment patterns.

You will work with monitoring and observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk, collaborating with technical teams to improve platform integration, automation, and self-service capabilities.

You will also assess the existing architecture, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate technical findings into actionable recommendations and documented solution designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python backend services, APIs, and reusable automation components.
• Build and evolve automation frameworks for monitoring-as-code, including monitoring configurations, dashboards, alerting, and onboarding of new teams and services.
• Integrate monitoring tools, software platforms, and enterprise systems through APIs and other integration mechanisms.
• Develop reusable self-service templates and standardized deployment patterns to enable teams to onboard and configure services independently.
• Assess the existing platform architecture, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and propose actionable technical solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical specifications, architecture documentation, and solution design proposals.
• Apply CI/CD practices and modern software delivery principles to support reliable, repeatable, and maintainable platform development.
• Work with containerized environments and orchestration technologies to support scalable and consistent deployments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Python development, including backend services, API development, automation, and reusable software components.
• Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks and platform engineering solutions.
• Experience integrating software platforms, monitoring tools, and enterprise systems.
• Experience with observability and monitoring concepts, including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or similar technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or similar containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Experience preparing technical specifications, architecture documentation, and solution design proposals.
• Ability to assess existing technical solutions, identify improvement opportunities, and communicate recommendations clearly.
