About The Role
In this role, you will contribute to building a simulation and prediction platform for a global fashion retailer operating across 200+ online and 90+ offline markets. You will help design solutions that enable better decision-making for distribution center capacity, reducing risks of overstock and inventory gaps through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend features for a complex platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliable real‐time predictions
- Collaborate closely with engineers, QA specialists, and stakeholders to align on requirements, architecture, and delivery priorities
- Build and maintain microservices using Java and the Spring ecosystem, ensuring clean architecture and efficient data processing
- Implement and maintain integrations with messaging systems, APIs, and data storage solutions
- Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and E2E testing, applying best practices and testing tools
- Contribute to technical decision‐making, documentation, and continuous improvement of system design and development processes
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java 11+, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, relational databases, and Mongo
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems, REST APIs, and OpenAPI standards
- Good knowledge of testing tools and practices
- Familiarity with tools such as Maven, Webpack, Grafana, GrayLog, and SonarQube
- Understanding of design principles, including SOLID, GRASP, and domain-driven design
- Experience with microservices, real-time data processing, and scalable application design
- Strong communication skills, ability to estimate work, document decisions, and collaborate in Agile environments
- Upper-intermediate or higher English level for effective communication with global teams
- Fluent Spanish proficiency for effective communication with Spanish-speaking clients and stakeholders
