We are seeking an SEO Specialist who is responsible for developing, leading, and overseeing the strategy and execution of our clients' SEO strategy while continuously striving to improve SEO results for all involved accounts. This role serves as the SEO Lead for a set number of accounts assigned to them. This role understands all moving pieces of the SEO puzzle, and knows how to execute, clearly communicate the value of SEO to clients, and work with others to oversee the execution. This role is responsible for their accounts’ client success, overseeing continued engagement growth and driving meaningful results over time.

Roles and Responsibilities
SEO Strategy and Account Management
- Responsible for clients’ SEO performance and ensuring all strategic goals are met
- Regularly identifies opportunities for the SEO team to deliver more effective and innovative deliverables
- Drives prioritization of deliverables forward based on what’s in scope and what will deliver meaningful results
- Leads client meetings/calls to discuss SEO strategies, deliverables, etc. as the subject matter expert, continually sharing the “why” behind what we are recommending and providing recommendations based on the clients’ everchanging needs and business priorities.
- Excels in project management, proactively staying on top of deliverable deadlines and communicating updates to internal teams, such as Link Building and Client Strategy.
- Serves as a source of knowledge for all things SEO, proactively sharing ideas and recommendations for clients
- Understands changes to the marketplace and industry and adjusting client SEO strategies accordingly
SEO Execution and Cross-Team Collaboration
- Lead and support execution of SEO deliverables (keyword research, tech SEO audits, etc).
- Collaborating across various teams (content, links, etc.)
- Provide a QA, feedback, and support to other SEO team members for skillset development and execution of SEO deliverables
- Performs keyword research for new accounts to support forming keyword strategies
- Completes keyword research for new content and blog topic ideation (that also speaks to client’s business objectives)
- Tackles ad-hoc keyword research requests from clients
- Develops clear on-page optimization recommendations for all accounts based on keyword research, including URLs, page titles, meta descriptions, H1s, keyword seeding, internal links, and alt attributes.
- Applies updates to copy when necessary.
- Conduct technical SEO audits for SEO accounts
- Execute various technical SEO tasks including but not limited to supporting redirect file development, resolving crawling/indexation issues, XML sitemap optimization, schema markup, etc.
- Work with internal and external team members to ensure that recommendations get implemented.
- Track and report on the performance of target pages of link-building campaigns. Collaborate on strategy changes with the Outreach Team.
- Perform backlink analysis as well as competitive backlink analysis
Content Marketing
- Performs competitor analysis to develop impactful content marketing strategies and campaigns for clients
- Supports content marketing strategy for all accounts and personas.
- Completes keyword research to come up with new content topics.
- May potentially complete content briefs when necessary
- Provide an SEO review for both the content brief step as well as completed article or blog draft step
- Consistently analyzes and monitors content performance, coming up with solutions to address any issues or areas to improve the content
- Perform content and internal linking audits and deliver high-quality and actionable recommendations to drive more results from existing content
- Track impact of SEO and content projects to ensure SEO milestones and goals are met and provide recurring progress reports to Marketing and Product Marketing teams
Client Reporting
- Monthly reporting. Provide ongoing SEO and website performance metrics analysis, incorporating data into monthly (or any) reports and analysis with detailed insights and recommendations for accounts that SEO Analyst owns.
- Develop actionable and insightful reporting that speaks to KPIs, SEO goals and objectives
- Monitor client performance on a consistent basis and provide actionable recommendations to the SEO team
- Develop and lead Quarterly Business Reviews for key client accounts to showcase strategy value and impact to client stakeholders
Business Development/Sales Support
- Support skill set development of junior SEO team members by facilitating trainings, skill sharing meetings, and providing detailed and productive feedback
- Develop preliminary audit and strategies for leads to support development of proposals
- Build out comprehensive, quality decks for proposal presentations
- Help grow the brand (and reputation) of Socratik by bringing creative marketing ideas to the table, and find ways to plug in
- Help support the development and execution of new product launches and/or Socratik properties
- Support internal marketing initiatives
Qualifications
- Agency experience
- Client-facing experience
- Proficient with Google Analytics & Google Search Console
- Competent in Microsoft Excel
