Role: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer
Location: Remote
Experience: Senior-level candidates preferred; strong hands-on experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and manage marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder.
- Build and execute personalized, data-driven customer journeys to support enterprise marketing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain AMPscript, dynamic content, email templates, and personalization logic.
- Manage data extensions, audience segmentation, subscriber lists, and targeting strategies.
- Support integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and enterprise applications using APIs, connectors, and automated workflows.
- Provide ongoing production support for campaign execution, troubleshooting, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing Operations (MarkOps) teams to support KTLO activities, enhancements, and business-driven initiatives.
- Analyze campaign operations, identify process improvements, and optimize workflows for scalability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies, email deliverability standards, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, development, and delivery activities.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)
- Expertise in Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Contact Builder
- Advanced proficiency in AMPscript and dynamic email personalization
- Strong SQL skills for segmentation, reporting, and audience management
- Experience with data extensions, subscriber management, and audience modeling
- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and marketing automation workflows
- Solid understanding of email deliverability, compliance, and campaign optimization best practices
Functional Skills
- Experience supporting Marketing Operations (MarkOps) teams
- Strong troubleshooting and production support capabilities
- Good understanding of end-to-end campaign lifecycle management
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based delivery environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
