UX/UI Lead & Designer - Tickchak

This role is posted on behalf of Tickchak, a resident company at SmartUp Academy.

Tickchak is Israel's leading event ticketing platform, serving thousands of event producers and millions of buyers. We're growing and looking for a UX/UI Lead and Designer who combines hands-on design of complex, multi-system products with direct management of a design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and specifying multiple products in parallel, including edge cases, error states, and long user flows
• Managing a UX/UI designer: task allocation, mentorship, and maintaining a high design standard
• Working closely with R&D, Product, and QA throughout the development cycle

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a UX/UI designer on complex products (B2B / SaaS / fintech or similar)
• Experience leading designers. Not just mentoring, but day-to-day management
• A portfolio showing strong UX thinking alongside high-quality visual design
• Proven ability to break down complex information architecture into clear user experiences

Figma Requirements: Advanced level

We are looking for full command of the tool, not just familiarity.

• Building and maintaining a design system using tokens and atomic structure
• Working with variables: display modes (dark/light), localization, dynamic spacing
• Prototyping with Conditional Logic, Expressions, and variables
• Advanced Auto Layout (Wrap, Min/Max), Nested Components, and Component Properties
• Preparing files in Dev Mode: Section Status, linking to Jira/Linear, CSS/Flexbox specs

AI

Hands-on experience integrating AI tools (Figma AI, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Claude, etc.) into design workflows: research, UX writing, rapid concepting, automating repetitive tasks.

In-office at least 2 days a week in Jerusalem per company needs.
