About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Graphic Designer with expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign to produce high-quality bilingual (Arabic and English) print and digital publications. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Arabic typography and the right-to-left design process. You will be responsible for translating creative concepts into final, polished layouts that are culturally sensitive and visually compelling for an Arabic-speaking audience.

You will work on delivering real-time, printable publishing content.

Key Responsibilities

• Template Creation: Create and maintain InDesign templates and master pages for various documents, enabling efficient and consistent production across the organization.
• InDesign Production: Design, layout, and format a wide range of print materials in Arabic and English, including books, templates, magazines, and other corporate publications.
• Arabic Typesetting: Utilize advanced InDesign features to typeset and format complex Arabic text, including proper justification, kerning, and the correct placement of diacritics.
• Layout and Design: Develop and adapt design concepts for both English and Arabic content, ensuring brand consistency and visual appeal across all versions. This includes adjusting for right-to-left reading order and cultural context.
• Print and Digital Output: Prepare, package, and preflight files for high-resolution print production and generate optimized, interactive PDFs for digital distribution
• Visual Asset Management: Work with visual assets (e.g., images, charts, and illustrations) and use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to integrate them seamlessly into InDesign layouts.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy, proper formatting, and adherence to all brand and design guidelines for both Arabic and English content.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in InDesign Software and Illustrator
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic and English is essential.
• InDesign Expertise: Expert proficiency in Adobe InDesign, with extensive experience in the Arabic and Hebrew version of the software for right-to-left text composition.
• Design Principles: Solid understanding of core graphic design principles, including layout, color theory, and composition for both print and digital media
• Cultural Sensitivity: Innate understanding and appreciation for Arab culture and aesthetics to ensure designs resonate with the target audience.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and explain creative ideas effectively.

Preferred Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Experience with motion graphics and video editing using After Effects or Premiere Pro.
• Experience working with clients or brands in the Middle East or targeting Arabic-speaking audiences (good to have).
• Experience in the academic/edtech domain
