Founding Product Manager / Head of Product – Email Marketing Startup
Location: Remote
The company's enterprise SaaS product for marketers involves ecommerce, identity resolution, consumer data enrichment, email deliverability, retargeting and advertising, compliance with digital privacy regulations, AI-powered identity graph, and big data.
The company has raised $8 million in seed funding, and is expecting to close series A funding soon. Revenues are rapidly growing (tripled in the last year). It is used by over 200 brands.
The company has 20 employees, including 1 designer and 5 engineers. It is rapidly hiring.
The company will pay a salary up to $250k, plus equity (0.5-1%) which could be lucrative.
Job Responsibilities:
- You would not have any direct reports. You would be working with a Product Designer.1 year from now you could be managing 1 Business Analyst and 1 Product Manager.
Top job duties are:
- Codifying and documenting product strategy based on input from CTO, COO, CEO, and internal teams.
- Structuring and maintaining an actionable, data-driven product roadmap that balances business objectives, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Ensuring product initiatives align with the company's mission to drive better audience segmentation, identity resolution, and marketing performance.
- Aligning the engineering, marketing, and customer success teams around a unified product vision and execution plan.
- Ensuring timely delivery of new features, integrations, and platform enhancements, optimizing workflow between the development, QA, and release teams.
- Working closely with sales and partnerships to expand integrations with ad networks, ESPs (Email Service Providers), and CRM platforms.
Various other job duties include:
- Collecting and analyzing customer feedback, ensuring the product continuously improves in audience enrichment, email deliverability, and performance tracking.
- Overseeing deliverability performance, working with customers to maximize inbox placement, reducing spam rates, and optimizing marketing engagement through the platform.
- Playing a critical part in enhancing the product's Identity Graph, making it the most accurate, scalable, and privacy-compliant identity resolution system available.
Qualifications:
- Experience being an early Product hire, taking a product from 0 to 1.
- At least 7 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience as a Product Manager for a product that involved an ESP such as Klaviyo, Mailgun, SendGrid or similar.
- Strong ability to codify and structure product strategy based on input from leadership, customers, and internal teams.
- Experience in identity resolution, audience segmentation, email deliverability, or marketing technology platforms.
- Deep understanding of customer feedback loops, product adoption metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success to drive product execution.
Nice to have:
- Experience with email deliverability, email personalization, or reviews.
- Experience working in a product management position for an Email Service Provider (ESP).
- Familiarity with email deliverability tools, sender reputation management, and ESP integrations such as Klaviyo, Mailgun, SendGrid, etc.
- Understanding of AI-driven audience segmentation, graph databases (Neo4j), and real-time data processing (Kafka, BigQuery/GCP).
- Experience integrating with ad networks, CRM platforms, and third-party data brokers.
