Senior software engineer

Skimle is an AI-powered insights platform that helps people and teams navigate complex bodies of knowledge quickly and securely. We offer single-tenant cloud deployments and are built for transparency, teamwork, and GDPR compliance.

The role

You’ll own end-to-end delivery of features and platform capabilities across our web app and AI pipelines. We don't have an office, but hold in-person meetings and workshops in Helsinki.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and ship product features in Node.js/TypeScript + Next.js.
• Develop our AI workflows and agentic AI system.
• Deploy and run services in Azure.
• Review code, mentor peers, and raise the engineering bar.

Our stack (today)

• Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript.
• Backend: Node.js/TypeScript, Supabase
• AI: LLMs (provider-agnostic), embedding, focus mostly on workflow, some tool-use.
• Infra: Azure, GitHub, OpenTelemetry, Supabase.

What you’ll bring

• Several years of experience building web products at scale.
• Cloud ops experience (Azure preferred) and DevOps practices.
• Pragmatic use of AI tools to boost quality and speed.
• Curiosity about agentic AI and a learning mindset.
