Responsibilities

• User-Centred Design: Lead the design process with a deep understanding of user needs and behaviours. Create user-centred design solutions that address complex problems while ensuring an intuitive and delightful user experience.
• Design Leadership: Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering their growth. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to drive design excellence across projects.
• Conceptualization and Ideation: Generate innovative design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and user flows. Translate business requirements and user insights into actionable design strategies.
• UI/UX Design: Create high-fidelity user interfaces that align with Sketchli's design principles and brand identity. Ensure consistency in design elements, typography, and visual style while maintaining a strong focus on usability and accessibility.
• Design Documentation: Produce comprehensive design documentation, including design specifications, style guides, and design systems. Maintain design libraries and assets for efficient collaboration and scaling of designs.
• Usability Testing: Plan, conduct, and analyze usability testing sessions to gather user feedback and validate design decisions. Iterate on designs based on user insights and feedback to continuously improve product usability.
• Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and functionality. Use tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD to bring designs to life and facilitate stakeholder understanding.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate effectively with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs. Be a proactive problem solver, addressing design-related challenges during development.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging design tools, and best practices. Apply new knowledge and techniques to enhance Sketchli's design capabilities.
• Design Advocacy: Champion the value of design within the organization. Present design rationale and advocate for user-centric design principles in decision-making processes.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough design reviews and QA checks to ensure the final product aligns with the intended design, meets quality standards, and is free of defects.
• Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to gather project requirements, understand their vision, and align design solutions with their business goals. Build strong client relationships through effective communication and design presentations.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the improvement of Sketchli's design processes, methodologies, and workflows. Identify areas for enhancement and drive initiatives to elevate design quality.
• Project Management: Effectively manage design projects, timelines, and resources to meet project goals and deadlines. Prioritize tasks and allocate efforts efficiently.
• Feedback and Collaboration: Provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the design team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address design-related challenges and drive project success.
• Innovation: Explore innovative design solutions and experiment with cutting-edge technologies to push the boundaries of digital product design and user experience.

Requirements

At Sketchli, we value practical experience and passion for design above formal academic qualifications. We are looking for a Product Designer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in product design, including web and mobile applications with great communication skills.

Your strong portfolio should showcase your design work and expertise, demonstrating a user-centred approach and proficiency in UX/UI design principles.
