About Siren

Scams are getting smarter. Fake calls sound real. Fraud links look official. Scammers know how to create panic, trust, and urgency better than most brands know how to create clarity.

Siren is being built to change that.

Siren is a consumer safety app that helps people protect themselves and their families from digital scams across calls, SMS, links, risky apps, device settings, and more. We are building for India first, with the ambition to become the digital safety companion people trust every day.

We have crossed 40,000+ downloads on Playstore and are still very early. That means the product is live, users are real, feedback is sharp, and the design surface is wide open.

We are now looking for a Product Designer who can help make Siren feel simple, trustworthy, friendly, and powerful, without making users feel scared, confused, or overwhelmed.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Product Designer at Siren, you will work across the end-to-end app experience, from onboarding to protection flows, alerts, family safety, paid plans, and growth journeys.

You will:

  • Design clear, intuitive, consumer-first app journeys for scam protection, family safety, alerts, permissions, plans, and onboarding.
  • Translate complex security and fraud signals into simple, reassuring, easy-to-act-on user experiences.
  • Improve app funnels, including install-to-signup, permission activation, feature discovery, subscription, and family member invite flows.
  • Create UI designs, prototypes, interaction flows, and handoff-ready Figma files for engineering.
  • Work on high-trust design moments: permission prompts, risk alerts, warning screens, safety scores, and “what should I do next?” flows.
  • Help evolve Siren’s visual language across the app, website, Play Store assets, and product-led growth surfaces.
  • Build reusable components and design patterns so the product feels consistent as it grows.
  • Use product data, user feedback, and app reviews to identify UX gaps and improve the experience.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, growth, and content teams to ship fast and iterate often.

What We’re Looking For

You should be someone who has strong product taste, consumer app instincts, and the ability to simplify complicated things without making them feel boring.

You bring:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in product design, preferably across consumer tech, fintech, safety, productivity, social, family, or utility apps.
  • Strong UI and UX skills across mobile-first product journeys.
  • A portfolio that shows real product thinking, not just beautiful screens.
  • Excellent Figma hygiene: components, variants, auto-layout, clear naming, and handoff-ready files.
  • Ability to design flows from scratch, not just polish existing screens.
  • Strong understanding of onboarding, activation, habit formation, and feature education in consumer apps.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity, especially in an early-stage product where the answer is not always obvious.
  • Ability to balance trust, clarity, warmth, and urgency in product design.
  • Good visual taste and attention to detail across typography, spacing, hierarchy, iconography, and interaction states.
  • Ability to move fast without making the product feel careless.

Bonus Points

You will stand out if you have:

  • Experience designing for consumer subscriptions, freemium products, family plans, or safety-led products.
  • Experience with growth design, app store assets, paywalls, onboarding experiments, or conversion optimization.
  • Motion design skills for micro-interactions, safety alerts, onboarding moments, or product education.
  • Experience using tools like Framer, Rive, Lottie, Maze, Hotjar, Clarity, or similar.
  • A strong point of view on consumer apps that do onboarding, trust, nudges, or alerts really well.
  • Basic understanding of how mobile engineering works, enough to design with feasibility in mind.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a role where you only make screens after someone else has solved the product problem.

This is also not a role where design is limited to making things look “premium.”

We need someone who can think through the user’s fear, confusion, trust, motivation, and action. Siren has to protect people without overwhelming them. That is a hard design problem, and that is the job.

Why Join Siren

Because the problem is real.

Every day, people lose money, data, and peace of mind to scams that look increasingly legitimate. Siren is trying to become the app that sits between users and those moments of risk.

You will get to shape:

  • A live consumer product with real users.
  • A category that is still being defined.
  • A brand that needs to feel serious, but not boring.
  • A design system that can scale across app, web, growth, and trust surfaces.
  • A product that has both India-first relevance and global potential.

This is an early role. There will be ambiguity, fast changes, and sharp feedback. There will also be a lot of room to shape the product.

Location

Koramangala, Bangalore (hybrid, 1 day WFH).

We are also open to remote candidates if the portfolio, product thinking, and collaboration style are strong.

How to Apply

Write to support@joinsiren.com with:

  1. Your resume
  2. Your app/product design portfolio
  3. Confirmation that you have downloaded and explored the Siren app on the Play Store
  4. Your POV on:
  • What is working in the Siren app and website
  • What is not working
  • What you would improve first and a quick wireframe
  • Which consumer tech apps inspire you and why

We care less about perfect answers and more about how you think.
