We are seeking a Data Scientist to join its Financial Economic Crime (FEC) Technology team, focusing on Transaction Monitoring optimization. In this role, you will use data analytics, dashboarding, and stakeholder engagement to enhance the effectiveness of anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime detection processes. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will transform complex transactional data into actionable insights that support risk identification, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end analytical projects, including business intake, requirements gathering, data analysis, coding, visualization, and presentation of findings.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards that support Transaction Monitoring performance and decision-making.
- Build scalable and maintainable analytical solutions using Python.
- Analyze customer transaction data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving monitoring effectiveness.
- Assess and quantify the impact of proposed changes to Transaction Monitoring rules, models, and parameters.
- Translate business challenges into analytical frameworks and actionable recommendations.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities where analytics can deliver value.
- Drive continuous process improvement through data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, business experts, and technology teams across the organization.
- Support the optimization of AML and financial crime detection processes through advanced analytics and reporting.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a quantitative, technical, or analytical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
- Advanced experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data visualization, and data storytelling.
- Strong Python programming skills, including:
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Software engineering best practices
- Code quality standards and reviews
- Development of scalable and maintainable solutions
- Proven ability to independently lead analytical initiatives and deliver results.
