The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for defining and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies, pricing models, and customer segmentation approaches to drive business growth. Reporting directly to the CEO of our fast-growing startup, this individual will serve as a key partner to the Product leader in shaping the product roadmap and product messaging, while also serving as a key partner to the VP of Sales in providing strategic guidance and tools to effectively approach target markets. Additionally, the Senior Marketing Manager will oversee the Marketing Communications Manager and execution teams to ensure the execution of marketing initiatives that drive demand generation and pipeline growth.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, market insight, and leadership capabilities to align product, sales, and marketing efforts in support of company objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Marketing Leadership & Campaign Execution

  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the customer champion—gathering insights, identifying pain points, and translating them into compelling marketing strategies.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Directly manage the Marketing Communications Manager, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance guidance.
  • Demand gen leadership: Lead the execution of demand generation initiatives, campaigns, and communications strategies designed to fill the sales funnel.
  • Manage external vendors, agencies, or partners as required.

Analytics & Optimization:

  • Track campaign performance, customer engagement, and marketing ROI. Use insights to refine strategy and tactics.

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay on top of industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to help shape positioning and innovation.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Pricing

  • Develop and execute comprehensive GTM strategies for existing products, ensuring clear positioning, messaging, and differentiation in the marketplace.
  • Define and implement pricing strategies that balance revenue growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.
  • Engage current customers with programs to keep SimX top of mind with new product and services.

Architect Product value propositions and GTM messaging

  • Work in close partnership with the Product Leader to define product strategy and prioritize roadmap initiatives.
  • Incorporate customer and market feedback into product development and GTM messaging.
  • Ensure alignment between product features, pricing, and messaging

Sales Enablement

  • Provide the sales team with clear value propositions, playbooks, and tools to effectively target and convert priority customer segments.
  • Partner with sales leadership to ensure alignment between GTM initiatives and sales objectives.
  • Support ongoing training and enablement to strengthen sales effectiveness.
  • Manage a demand gen and sales funnel to ensure vitality of funnel and to keep sales teams accountable for customer follow-up.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7–10 years of progressive marketing experience, including significant exposure to GTM strategy, pricing, and product marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in developing pricing strategies and competitive positioning for established products.
  • Proven experience partnering with sales teams to drive market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to synthesize complex market data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with marketing and sales tools, including CRM systems and marketing automation platforms as well as AI and its impact on marketing effectiveness
  • Deep understanding of market research methodologies, customer segmentation, and product lifecycle management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and performance metrics.
  • Experience leading pricing strategy and analysis in competitive markets.
