Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a Retention and Lifecycle Marketing Manager who’s both strategic and hands-on. You’ll own our customer journeys end-to-end which includes designing email, push, and in-app campaigns that drive retention, loyalty, and growth.
You’re data-driven, creative with copy, and skilled at turning insights into high-impact lifecycle campaigns. Experience with Customer.io (or similar tools) and a strong testing mindset are musts. You’re passionate about crafting user experiences that genuinely add value, not noise.
Responsibilities:
- Own the entire user lifecycle: onboarding, activation, engagement, churn prevention, and reactivation.
- Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns (email, push, in-app) to drive user actions and deepen product engagement.
- Build automated lifecycle flows using Customer.io.
- Design A/B tests to continuously improve retention and conversion metrics.
- Create and manage segmented communication strategies based on user behavior, cohort, geography, and subscription status.
- Work closely with Product, Growth, and Content teams to identify key moments in the user journey and improve them.
- Analyze data, generate insights, and report on key retention KPIs weekly and monthly.
- Own customer communications for key touchpoints like subscription renewals, trial reminders, upgrade nudges, and reactivation efforts.
- Identify opportunities to introduce loyalty, referral, and rewards programs.
What We Are Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in retention, lifecycle marketing or communications marketing roles with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Customer.io or similar tools.
- High proficiency in English.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft compelling messages across email and push.
- Orientated towards being a communications & messaging marketer, interested in owning and leading this part of our marketing stack.
- Experience with mobile app marketing and push notification strategies
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex customer data
- Proven track record of designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests and marketing experiments
- Experience setting up and managing complex automation workflows and triggers in Customer.io
- Analytical mindset with strong skills in cohort analysis, funnel analysis, and retention metrics.
- Experience building sophisticated segmentation models and personalization strategies
- Deep understanding of key marketing metrics and how they relate to business outcomes
- Experience adapting marketing strategies for different regions, cultures, and audience segments
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across functional teams
- Previous experience working with a subscription product is a plus.
