The Field Marketing Manager is a hybrid commercial and clinical role responsible for driving adoption and utilization of the Anchor Line system within an assigned territory. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for surgeons, hospital staff, and local independent sales representatives, combining active selling, surgical case support, and clinical education to grow the business and ensure exceptional customer experiences. The role reports to the Area Business Director and operates primarily within the state of Florida.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Actively sell the Anchor Line system to surgeons and hospital decision-makers, both directly and in partnership with local independent sales representatives.
- Develop and execute territory plans designed to grow market share, expand the surgeon user base, and increase case volume.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, surgical staff, hospital administrators, and value analysis committees.
- Identify new business opportunities, evaluate competitive activity, and report market intelligence to the Area Business Director.
- Collaborate with independent representatives to align on account strategy, pricing discussions, and pipeline management.
Surgical Case Coverage
- Provide hands-on case coverage in the operating room to support surgeons using the Anchor Line system.
- Ensure proper product setup, troubleshoot intraoperatively, and serve as the in-room technical expert.
- Maintain compliance with hospital credentialing, infection control protocols, and all applicable regulatory and company policies.
Clinical Training & Education
- Deliver clinical training and onboarding to surgeons, OR staff, and local independent representatives on the proper use of the Anchor Line system.
- Develop and lead in-service sessions, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on product features, surgical technique, and clinical best practices.
- Support the rollout of new product launches, indications, and procedural enhancements within the territory.
Territory & Administrative Management
- Manage CRM updates, expense reporting, sample inventory, and other administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, professional education, and customer service teams.
- Represent the company at regional trade shows, surgeon meetings, and industry events.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of medical device sales, clinical specialist, or related field experience, preferably in surgical/operating room environments.
- Demonstrated ability to sell technical products to surgeons and hospital stakeholders.
- Comfort and proficiency in the operating room, including familiarity with sterile technique.
- Ability to obtain and maintain hospital vendor credentialing.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 50%, primarily within Florida.
- Based in Florida or willing to relocate.
Preferred
- Experience selling implantable devices, capital equipment, or procedure-based systems.
- Established surgeon and hospital relationships within Florida.
- Experience working alongside or managing independent sales representatives.
