Our client, a rapidly growing real estate investment and operations firm, is seeking a Senior / Principal Data Scientist to lead the development of its data science function. This senior role is both strategic and hands-on, driving advanced analytics and AI initiatives to support investment decisions, portfolio optimization, and tenant experience across a national portfolio of light industrial properties.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and deploy predictive/ML models for valuation, forecasting, risk, and operations.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing data science team.
• Partner with acquisitions, operations, leasing, and finance to align analytics with business strategy.
• Innovate in AI applications (lease abstraction, computer vision, tenant churn prediction, rent optimization).
• Advise executives and investment committees with clear, actionable insights.

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s/PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years’ experience in data science, ideally in real estate, proptech, or investment analytics.
• Expertise in Python, R, SQL, ML frameworks, and BI/visualization tools.
• Proven leadership in building and managing analytics teams.
• Strong communicator who can translate complex analytics into business impact.
