Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop synthesis technology for our FPGA software toolchain. In this role, you will design and implement algorithms that transform RTL designs into optimized FPGA netlists, working closely with FPGA architecture and backend teams to deliver high-quality compilation results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance RTL synthesis algorithms targeting FPGA architectures.
- Implement logic optimization techniques such as technology mapping, resource inference, and timing optimization.
- Improve quality-of-results (QoR) for timing, area, and compilation runtime.
- Collaborate with architecture and place-and-route teams to enable efficient mapping to FPGA primitives (LUTs, DSPs, memories, etc.).
- Design scalable compiler infrastructure for synthesis passes and optimizations.
- Debug synthesis issues and analyze compilation results to improve tool performance.
Qualifications
- MS or BS with strong experience in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in FPGA/ASIC design tools, synthesis, or digital logic design.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Solid understanding of digital logic design, RTL (Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog), and FPGA architecture.
Preferred
- Experience with synthesis or EDA tools (e.g., Yosys, Vivado, Quartus).
- Knowledge of logic optimization, graph algorithms, or compiler techniques.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Tcl.
