SigmaMD aims to make a meaningful contribution to the world by changing the way people manage their health. Our growing engineering and product team has deep expertise in consumer tech. We are combining our diverse backgrounds to innovate in Digital Health.
Our goal is to make millions of lives healthier by using technology. We strive to empower patients to take control of their health care and help clinicians better treat them. To achieve this vision we’re looking for an outstanding Software Engineer who loves building production features and the frameworks that keep them bulletproof. Your first milestone will be to deliver a complete, end-to-end (E2E) test-automation project that gives us broad, reliable coverage of our web and mobile apps.
What you’ll do — Early focus
- Design a scalable, TypeScript-first test-automation framework covering web (React) and mobile (React Native) apps.
- Leverage LLMs or other AI techniques for test-case generation, visual regression, and flaky-test self-healing.
- Build CI/CD pipelines that run parallel E2E suites against ephemeral, data-seeded environments.
- Establish best-in-class quality metrics and integrate them into our engineering workflow and dashboards.
What you’ll do — Beyond the first project
- Ship new product features across the stack.
- Contribute to system design discussions around microservices, event-driven architectures, and security.
- Mentor engineers on testing-in-production, observability, and clean architecture principles.
This person should share our core values of teamwork, empathy, and innovation. Ideally, they have the following background:
Required Skills
- 3+ years building and shipping production software with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Node.js back-end development experience.
- React (web) and solid knowledge of modern HTML/CSS fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests.
- Database fluency—writing/debugging SQL or working with NoSQL stores to seed, stub, and verify test data.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
Good to Have
- Hands-on experience building and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into product or engineering workflows.
- Proficiency with at least one end-to-end (E2E) testing framework.
- React Native development or automation expertise.
- Experience as an early team member in a health tech startup
Please note that our full stack is JavaScript-based, hence applicants must have strong foundational and demonstrated experience in JS-related libraries and frameworks.
