You will work on software development of functional features and enhancements for the Siden’s Content Distribution System (CDS). The responsibilities include designing, implementing, testing, bug fixing and automating changes to Siden’s highly distributed, cloud-native system which is intelligently distributing content to millions of users. You will work on software for Live Streaming, Video-on-Demand (VoD), Over-the-Top (OTT) Video, non-video content transfers and other Siden services. Working on CDN components including proxies, mid-tier and edge caches, content origins, content parsers, Domain Name Systems (DNS) services, load balancers.

Education and Experience required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline and 5 years of experience as a software engineer.

Qualifications

3 years of experience in software development for networking systems
5 years of experience in software development
Programming experience using Golang, Rust or C/C++
Experience with the implementation of network protocol driven systems, including proxies, caches, DNS, load balancers, gateways
Familiarity with networking protocols such as HTTP, TCP, QUIC, DNS
Experience with software engineering, containerization, and familiarity with highly distributed cloud workloads. Understanding of microservice architecture, concurrency patterns and memory management, databases, and building flexible, scalable, high-performing, extensible, and testable systems
Experience with interfacing to software infrastructure such as databases, message buses, key-value stores, secret managers
Experience with video protocols (HLS, DASH, MP4) is a plus
