About The Role
The Partner Marketing Lead for our Scale program will be responsible for building and launching Shopify's Marketing-as-a-Service engine in EMEA to accelerate partner-led demand and campaigns at scale.
This is a foundational role establishing a new motion for partner marketing, requiring an entrepreneurial marketing leader who can build scalable programs from the ground up, manage third-party agency relationships, and optimize co-marketing initiatives across hundreds of partners.
The primary focus is on achieving impactful commercial outcomes through scalable, repeatable programs that enable Shopify Partners to bring more Shopify to the world.

This role demands entrepreneurial leadership, strong commercial acumen, effective prioritization of high-impact initiatives, and excellent stakeholder management. You will influence both partners and internal stakeholders, collaborating strategically to create scalable, sustainable marketing programs that accelerate productivity and drive meaningful growth.
Specifically, success means:
- Launching the Marketing-as-a-Service program and scaling it across hundreds of EMEA partners
- Establishing and managing relationships with third-party marketing agencies (RFPs, benchmarking, performance management).
- Increasing the number of Shopify partners effectively using Marketing Development Funding (MDF) with clear ROI tracking.
- Creating repeatable programs that can be deployed across hundreds of partners
- Growing marketing-attributable pipeline and expanding Shopify's reach through scalable partner campaigns.
- Uplifting partners' marketing capabilities through enablement and agency-delivered programs.
- Providing actionable, data-driven reporting on marketing ROI to partners and internal stakeholders.
- Building toward team leadership as the scale motion grows and expands.
Responsibilities
- Build and own the EMEA Scale partner marketing motion from the ground up as the founding team member
- Establish and manage the Marketing-as-a-Service program, including third-party agency selection, contracting, and performance management
- Design and execute scalable co-marketing programs for scale-tier partners and ISV/tech partners (100+ partners including CRM, loyalty platforms etc)
- Manage agency relationships: handle RFPs, benchmark performance, package offerings, and ensure quality delivery.
- Create repeatable, one-to-many marketing programs and enablement that partners can easily activate
- Own end-to-end execution for partner go-to-market programs at scale and measure effectiveness to improve ROI
- Manage and qualify marketing opportunities, providing consultative support to drive successful partner marketing activities
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to gain insights and inform strategy, messaging, and go-to-market approach
- Manage and track quarterly budgets and MDF allocation
- Work cross-functionally with Partner Development, Sales, Product, and Product Marketing teams to drive shared commercial objectives
- Collaborate closely with Depth partner marketing team and global Scale counterparts to share best practices
- Produce and deliver presentations to internal and partner audiences
- Help shape global Scale strategy based on EMEA learnings and insights
Requirements
- Proven track record in B2B partner marketing, business development, or program management.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building programs or motions from scratch.
- Experience producing and leading successful demand generation and integrated marketing campaigns at scale to reach commercial targets.
- Strong commercial acumen and comfort with business development approaches (agency management, vendor relationships, RFPs).
- Passion for scaling, with proven ability to create repeatable and successful one-to-many marketing programs.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and agencies with different opinions to a common outcome.
- Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills (critical for agency and partner management).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills while staying focused on the big picture and details.
- Proven ability to lead and execute projects involving cross-disciplinary alignment and collaboration.
- Experience informing and influencing commercial business and product marketing strategy.
- Program management capabilities - can build frameworks, processes, and scalable systems.
- Resourceful attitude that proactively seeks information to influence action.
- Ability to thrive in uncertainty, resolve ambiguity, and think quickly on your feet.
- Comfortable working through third parties - marketing expertise happens through agencies; this role orchestrates and enables.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with ISV/tech partners or app ecosystems.
- Agency-side experience or agency management background.
- Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or unified commerce platforms.
- Track record of scaling programs across multiple markets/regions.
- Note: While this role initially focuses on individual contribution and program building, there is clear potential to grow into a team lead for the EMEA Scale motion as the program expands
