Network Software Engineer – Quantum-Safe / TLS / IPsec

:🚀 We’re Hiring: Senior Network Software Engineer

At Shokworks, we’re building cutting-edge, quantum-safe network technology — and we’re looking for a Senior Network Software Engineer to join our team. This role is fully focused on network-level software engineering, not network administration or NOC work. You’ll be writing and integrating software that interacts directly with TLS, IPsec, key management systems, and modern Zero Trust / SASE architectures.

In this position, you will take ownership of an existing codebase, extend it, and integrate it with our quantum encryption hardware and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) stack. No quantum background needed — we’ll teach you. What matters is deep networking and protocol expertise.

🔍 What You’ll Do

You will own, refactor, and extend our network security codebase; work with TLS 1.3 (with PQC support), IPsec/IKEv2, and secure key infrastructures; ensure compatibility with SD-WAN, SASE, ZTA/ZTNA, VPNs, and enterprise architectures; address asset discovery and quantum-safe replacements; troubleshoot performance and security across OSI layers 3–7; and collaborate closely with our CTO and global engineering teams.

✔️ What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in software engineering with a focus on networking / secure protocols / systems.
• Strong understanding of:
• SD-WAN, SASE, ZTA/ZTNA, VPNs
• Network topology, micro-segmentation, and secure network design
• Hands-on development with TLS 1.3 (ideally with PQC extensions) and IPsec/IKEv2
• Experience with:
• KMS and HSMs
• Classical crypto (RSA, Diffie-Hellman) and CNSA 2.0 / quantum-safe migrations
• Proficiency in Python, C, Go
• Solid understanding of OSI layers 3–7.

⭐ Nice to Have

• Contributions to OpenSSL, strongSwan, WireGuard, wolfSSL, liboqs, etc.
• Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP networking
• Familiarity or interest in PQC, QRNG, QKD
