Senior Graphic Designer

Shibumi is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to bring our visual identity to life across every touchpoint—from product packaging and paid ads to digital experiences and brand campaigns. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on designer and a creative leader, with the ability to mentor others, manage external creative resources, and collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across marketing, product and ecommerce.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Development & Execution

• Lead visual ideation across all design projects
• Design and produce assets for paid advertising, email campaigns, product launches, packaging, and user experience (UX/UI) projects.
• Deliver visually compelling creative that align with Shibumi’s brand standards and strategic objectives.

Brand Leadership

• Serve as the visual brand steward, ensuring a consistent and cohesive look and feel across all customer touchpoints.
• Provide creative direction for product and lifestyle photography; photography and retouching experience is a plus.
• Develop and maintain a network of photographers, illustrators, and freelance creatives to support campaign needs.
• Oversee and manage freelance design creatives, providing mentorship and guidance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to the Chief Marketing Officer, Director of integrated marketing, DTC Lead, Social Media Manager, CRM Lead, Paid Ads Lead, Wholesale and Regional Activation teams.
• Translate strategic marketing and product initiatives into compelling creative outputs that support customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7+ years of graphic design experience, ideally in consumer products, retail, or lifestyle brands.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating range across digital, print, and packaging.
• Proven ability to lead visual direction and maintain brand consistency.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product, and creative teams.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic startup environment, balancing autonomy with strong collaboration across teams.
• Proven flexibility and composure in managing quick-turn projects while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools for creative and operational tasks
• Proficient Photography and retouching skills.
