About the Role
In this unique remote role, you will lead a small team of dedicated marketing volunteers, develop and execute impactful strategies, and ensure that our messaging resonates with diverse audiences. As this is a leadership position, we’re looking for an experienced marketing professional who brings strong team management skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for driving positive change.
This role is fully remote, and the ideal candidate can be based anywhere in the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead and manage She Loves Data's internal marketing team, composed of passionate volunteers.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to align with organizational goals.
- Oversee all marketing campaigns to ensure consistency, creativity, and alignment with She Loves Data's mission.
- Actively communicate with She Loves Data chapters to maintain brand alignment and cohesion.
Campaign Management:
- Manage the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns, ensuring the delivery of the right messaging to attract new community members and retain existing ones.
- Brainstorm and develop innovative ideas for campaigns, staying ahead of trends and engaging with diverse audiences.
- Step in to assist with tasks when needed to support the volunteer team and ensure timely execution.
Team Coordination and Collaboration:
- Manage and coordinate the efforts of marketing and creative volunteers, providing guidance and fostering collaboration.
- Act as a mentor and leader to the team, inspiring creativity and ensuring a high standard of work.
Skills & Qualifications
Professional Skills:
- Proven experience in marketing, including developing and implementing marketing strategies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and make decisions effectively.
- Familiarity with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in marketing, graphic design, and content creation.
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges, with a metrics-driven approach to marketing.
Personal Attributes:
- Innovative and creative, with the ability to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Willingness to step in and assist with tasks when needed, ensuring successful execution of campaigns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team and collaborate with global and local chapters.
- Strong passion for supporting a good cause and contributing to the growth of a nonprofit organization.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience working in a nonprofit environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
