Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Digital Marketing Officer to own and execute marketing strategies that strengthen our product positioning, drive adoption, and support growth across diverse global markets. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring our brand resonates with diaspora and migrant communities worldwide. The Digital Marketing Officer will also manage the marketing team, ensuring alignment with business objectives while fostering innovation, accountability, and impact.
In addition, the candidate should have a solid understanding of how the fintech industry operates, including the dynamics of remittance, digital payments, and financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to strengthen brand presence, generate leads, and drive customer acquisition.
- Ensure marketing projects and promotional campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the Social Media Manager to ensure content calendars are created, scheduled, and published across LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, with strong audience engagement.
- Create contents for blogs, email campaigns, landing pages, and educational materials tailored to Sharperly audiences (e.g., articles, infographics, videos).
- Plan and manage paid digital campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, etc.), optimizing for CAC, ROAS, and conversion goals across global markets.
- Conduct SEO research, optimize website and campaign content, and improve organic visibility.
- Track and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and CRM systems, reporting insights and ROI to leadership.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with product, graphic designer, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor and respond to audience interactions to build active and loyal communities.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and freelancers, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to KPIs.
- Maintain strong communication with leadership and provide clear recommendations based on insights and results.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team to achieve collective goals and foster professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 4+ years proven experience in digital marketing (fintech/financial services experience preferred).
- Strong grasp of SEO, SEM, paid Ads, social media, content marketing, and analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a marketing team, as well as external agencies or freelancers.
- Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, HubSpot, etc.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills with a global, multicultural perspective.
- Passion for fintech, innovation, and making real impact within diaspora/migrant communities.
- Exceptional ability to prepare and present reports to management and stakeholders
