We are partnering with a growing cloud consultancy composed of former industry leaders, engineers, and architects from top cloud providers. This team works closely with enterprise clients undergoing cloud transformation, offering deep expertise in cloud engineering, application modernization, and data-driven solutions. Their mission is to help clients accelerate timelines, reduce risks, and eliminate barriers to adopting modern cloud-native technologies.

We’re currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer for a short-term contract opportunity. This is an ideal role for someone with strong hands-on experience across cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), modern backend development (Python, Go), and containerization (Kubernetes). You’ll be embedded within client teams, offering both technical implementation and strategic guidance on innovative, real-world projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand requirements, pain points, and goals.
• Develop technical solution designs and clearly articulate value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide delivery estimates, scope solutions, and contribute to project planning.
• Take the lead on technical delivery, removing blockers, and ensuring project velocity stays high.
• Build scalable cloud-native applications using tools such as Kubernetes, CI/CD platforms, and modern programming languages.
• Integrate applications with data systems, services, and APIs.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure decisions and deployments across GCP or AWS.
• Stay current with emerging technologies including AI, LLMs, and data engineering workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, demos, and collaborative development with distributed teams.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, ideally in client-facing or consulting environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Python, with experience in Go a plus.
• Experience designing and deploying microservice architectures.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes – including application packaging and deployment.
• Experience building or integrating with databases and data pipelines.
• Exposure to Generative AI workflows (e.g., LangChain, Streamlit) is a plus – willingness to learn is essential.
• Prior experience deploying production workloads to GCP or AWS.
• Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies quickly.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a self-starter mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, including comfort leading virtual meetings and presenting to clients.
