Job Purpose

We are looking for a hands-on, experienced engineer to guide a cross-functional engineering team in building and maintaining our high-performing DBaaS platform. This role combines technical leadership, team mentorship, and close collaboration with product and DevOps teams to ensure reliable delivery, strong architecture, and continuous improvement across our backend systems.

This role is ideal for a senior backend engineer with deep Golang experience, ready to take on technical leadership responsibilities in a cloud-native environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team.
• Work closely with Product Owner to plan and execute the roadmap.
• Guide architectural decisions and ensure code quality.
• Drive continuous improvement in development practices and DevOps.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and balance priorities across backend, DevOps, and QA.
• Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Own delivery timelines and ensure high reliability of our DBaaS platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend experience with Golang.
• Proven experience in leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, containers, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with database clustering, high availability, and automation is a big plus.

Nice To Have

• Experience with Kubernetes Operators or controllers.
• Background in DBaaS, SaaS, or PaaS environments.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases.
• Contributions to open-source cloud-native projects.
