Senior Software Engineer

Based in Lyon, France, our Research & Development team is composed of creative, motivated, and talented engineers who develop innovative modules for an innovative data management platform.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Integration team to contribute to

the enhancement of the Semarchy Data Platform. If you relish tackling intricate and compelling technical challenges, we would like to meet you!

What You Will Do

● Build and maintain robust and scalable applications processing large volumes of data

● Integrate an existing software development life cycle, including coding standards, code

reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing

● Actively improve code base quality, architecture and tooling

● Develop prototypes in collaboration with the PM and dev team

● Participate actively in the squad of developers best practices improvement (Agile

processes)

● Build with the team cloud-native applications with distributed architecture, Docker,

Kubernetes and related SaaS ecosystem

Who You Are

● 5+ years of experience building complex Backend apps serving Frontend apps

● Strong experience with Java

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

● Experience with an agile and lean/iterative approach

● Appetence with SQL and data integration (RDBMS, no SQL, Big Data, Cloud DB)

● Passion for learning & knowledge sharing

● Autonomous, self-managed, delivery oriented

● Fluency in English and French

Nice to Have

● Experience working with distributed architecture

● Experience with data platforms and tools (Apache Spark, Snowflake, ETL)

● Experience with running and maintaining a live application

● Experience in testing framework
