Wiring & Harness Design Engineer

Job Description

• Support EE component development with packaging and installation design activities.
• Design wiring harnesses in the vehicle according to conception rules.
• Update the database and progress indicators.
• Design, develop, review, and approve technical solutions, ensuring alignment with EE strategies.
• Responsible for securing the interest of electrical packaging and installation for all on going and potential future projects.
• Take operational responsibility for day-to-day work within given processes and procedures.
• Make decisions on larger adjustments and propose new technical solutions.
• Collaborate on projects within the Technical Department.
• Lead conception activities to guarantee compliance with QCD requirements.
• Adhere to project planning.
• Act as a role model for lifelong learning and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• CATIA V5-6: Used for the mechanical domain, including the 3D installation of wiring harnesses.

• EB Cable: A tool for creating the electro-logical diagrams of the wiring harnesses.

• ELENA: A tool that merges the electro-logical data and the geometric data into a unified KBL file.

• LDorado: A tool used to generate the wiring harness drawing (ELZ) from the KBL data.

• VOBES EE Toolbar: A CATIA-based tool that supports the installation of the electric wiring harness in the virtual vehicle.

This role requires experience within the VAG environment (e.g., Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda, Porsche) and practical experience with at least 2–3 of the tools mentioned above.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
