We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Senior Graphic Designer to create a wide range of visual content for our marketing initiatives, managing the design of our print and digital magazine as well as creating various graphic design projects, including social media graphics, email marketing materials, website assets, promotional materials, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong graphic design skills across multiple mediums, with some background in magazine/publication design, typography, and branding. This role requires versatility, creativity, and the ability to produce visually compelling content across both print and digital platforms while maintaining our brand's cohesive and engaging visual identity.

The Role:
As our Senior Graphic Designer with publication management responsibilities, your expertise in print and digital design will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our publication and company. We value creativity, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of the latest trends in visual design.
Key Responsibilities:Design Development:
- Create and implement design layouts for the magazine's various sections, including feature stories, regular columns, and special inserts.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual style across all issues, aligning with our brand guidelines and editorial tone.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with editors, writers, photographers, and illustrators to integrate text, images, and other design elements.
- Attend editorial meetings to understand content plans and provide input on visual storytelling possibilities.
Design Oversight:
- Oversee the entire design and layout process, maintaining the highest standards of visual excellence.
Collaborative Leadership:
- Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure the magazine's design complements our editorial voice and brand ethos.
Diverse Project Management:
- Take on additional design projects, demonstrating versatility and adaptability in meeting various departmental needs.
- These projects will include but not be limited to: website/landing page mockups, social media graphics, flyers, brochures, trade show materials, blog post graphics, business cards, and digital ads.
- Assist with managing clients' email marketing using platforms such as Constant Contact and MailChimp.
Quality Assurance:
- Uphold exceptional standards in all visual outputs, ensuring consistency and alignment with our brand identity.
Innovative Approach:
- Employ cutting-edge design techniques and technologies to enhance the magazine's visual appeal and reader engagement.
What We Need From You:
- Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience in graphic design, including print and digital magazines.
- Diverse Design Expertise: Skills in Magazine and Graphic Design and related fields.
- Leadership Acumen: Strong track record of leading design projects and managing complex workflows.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), as well as experience with email marketing platforms including MailChimp and Constant Contact. Experience with Canva is also required. Knowledge of other related design and collaboration tools is a plus but not required.
- Creative Flair: A keen eye for design and detail and an innovative mindset.
- Detail Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines.
- Strong Communication: Excellent ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Proficiency in English is required.
- Adaptability: Capable of handling multiple projects and adapting to evolving priorities.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related discipline. Over 3+ years of related experience required.
