About the opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist or Data Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and scaling the data analytics and attribution backbone of TRACKS so our clients can make confident, marketing and product decisions. You will have the opportunity to work with our data platform TRACKS and directly influence the marketing success of major AAA and leading indie game titles globally.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Data Platform Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and services for the TRACKS platform using Python and Google Cloud (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).

• Attribution & Analytics: Develop and productionize attribution logic and marketing performance models that connect media spend, clicks, and in-game behavior across platforms (e.g., Steam, console, web) into clear, actionable insights.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Client Success teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and delivered features.

• Improvement: Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of our development, data quality, and operational processes (including monitoring, alerting, and cost optimization and new feature developments).

• Ownership: Take ownership of the TRACKS data pipeline and attribution stack lifecycle, from concept and design through idea to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience: 5+ years of relevant professional experience in data science, data engineering, analytics engineering, or backend engineering in a data-intensive environment (ideally SaaS, adtech, or product analytics) having worked on an ETL pipeline.

• Technical Skills: Deep proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern cloud data platforms (preferably Google Cloud: BigQuery, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage). Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and BI/visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Metabase, Tableau, or similar) is a strong plus.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in turning data into clear, compelling visual stories is a plus.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Optional Knowledge: Solid understanding of digital marketing and attribution or product analytics concepts (e.g., UTMs, click IDs, view-through vs. click-through, MTA, incrementality) and familiarity with PC/Console game ecosystems (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox) and performance media channels (e.g., DV360, Meta, TikTok, Reddit).
