Search Engine Optimization Project Manager

We're hiring exclusively on behalf of an SEO agency for a Head of SEO and AI. This is a confidential search, so the client is not named here. We'll tell you exactly who they are on our first call.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created seat. The Founder has personally run every client account and hire to date, and now has more inbound demand than he can service alone — this role exists to take full ownership of client delivery so the founders can stay focused on sales and revenue.

The Role

You own the client. You keep nothing from slipping.

1. Own the client relationship — Manage the day-to-day communication and cadence for every account you run, client-facing in writing, verbally where it helps.
2. Run projects end-to-end — Keep every deliverable, deadline and dependency on track by leveraging ViewEngine's engineers, SEO specialists and content writers.
3. Build the systems as you go — There's no fixed playbook yet; you'll create the processes and structure that let the team scale without adding headcount.

The Support

Own engineering team builds the automation and AI-native tooling behind every account, so you're never managing a project with just a spreadsheet and good intentions. A senior SEO Project Manager and an SEO Specialist sit alongside you, and the founders are hands-on and genuinely available — not distant.

• Dedicated engineering bench — 5 offshore engineers plus 2 NY-based automation engineers build and maintain the tooling behind your accounts
• Senior SEO support — a senior SEO Project Manager and SEO Specialist sit on the team to execute the tactical SEO work you plan
• Direct founder access — report straight to the Founder and his co-founder, no bureaucracy in between
• Room to define the role — no rigid job description; you'll help shape what "SEO Project Manager" means here

This role is built for someone who is relentlessly organized, takes total ownership, and doesn't need to be managed. You don't need deep SEO expertise — you need to be the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks, whatever it takes.

• Ex-consultant or agency energy — strong track record leading projects or teams; comfortable owning outcomes end-to-end
