Forward Deployed Software Engineer - AI Projects

My client is hiring a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to work directly with customers on high-impact AI problems. You will design, build, and deploy production software that drives real business outcomes, working hands-on with customer data and iterating quickly based on real-world feedback, with enterprise clients.

The role includes building and deploying GenAI and LLM-powered systems, including agentic workflows and retrieval-augmented applications. The focus is on taking AI features from prototype to production with strong attention to reliability, evaluation, and real user adoption.

This role is well suited to engineers from client-facing environments. My client has seen strong success hiring former data scientists and engineers from firms such as BCG, BCG X, McKinsey & Company, QuantumBlack, Bain & Company, Palantir, and similar applied AI or consulting-led organizations.

What My Client Is Looking For:

• Strong customer focus and comfort operating in ambiguous environments
• Proficiency in Python and or TypeScript in production systems
• Experience deploying data-heavy or AI-enabled applications
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to travel occasionally, typically up to 20 percent

Nice to Have:

• Forward-deployed or customer-facing engineering experience
• Production experience with ML, LLMs, or agentic AI systems
• Frontend experience, ideally React
