Job Title: Lead SEO Specialist (1099 Contractor – Remote/Part-Time Project Work)

Location: Remote (Springfield, MO preferred, but open to U.S.-based candidates)

Job Type: 1099 Contractor – Part-Time/Project-Based (with potential for increased hours over time)

About the Role

SC Marketing Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior SEO Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role will begin as part-time, project-based work and has the potential to grow into a larger ongoing partnership. We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can provide advanced SEO expertise, manage projects efficiently, and help drive measurable results for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced SEO strategies across multiple industries and client websites.
• Implement AI-driven optimizations to improve visibility in AI platforms and generative search results.
• Conduct in-depth site audits, keyword research, competitor analysis, and technical SEO fixes.
• Manage and optimize websites across multiple CMS platforms (WordPress, Duda, Joomla, Wix, and others).
• Use SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Microsoft Clarity heatmaps, Google Search Console, Google Analytics (advanced tracking), and Looker Studio to monitor and report performance.
• Collaborate on client projects, delivering results on time and with high attention to detail.
• Provide clear communication and documentation of SEO recommendations, reporting, and outcomes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of proven SEO experience (technical, on-page, and off-page).
• Agency experience managing dozens of SEO clients simultaneously is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AI-driven search optimization and tracking.
• Excellent project management and time management skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with English as a first language.
• Must pass a background check.
• Proficiency in WordPress, Duda, Joomla, Wix, and other CMS platforms.
• Advanced experience with SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Microsoft Clarity, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and advanced Google Analytics tracking.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Local to Springfield, MO preferred for occasional client support, but remote candidates across the U.S. will be considered.
