Software Engineer - Python (2 Months Contract)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with strong experience in both Python to join our DevOps AI platform team. The ideal candidate is proficient in designing, building, and maintaining scalable applications and APIs while working with both relational and non-relational databases. You will be responsible for creating robust and efficient software solutions, writing unit tests, and ensuring seamless integration with real-time technologies.

Total Compensation for 2 Months: 600k (300k per month)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-performance software applications using Python.
• Design, build, and optimize REST APIs that are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
• Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Create and manage unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Implement real-time features using technologies such as WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSEs), and HTTP/2 streaming.
• Develop and maintain CLI applications as a product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps practices and AI platform requirements.
• Ensure the efficient operation of applications on Unix-based systems and contribute to system troubleshooting and performance tuning.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Python.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in writing efficient SQL for relational databases and query languages for non-relational databases.
• In-depth knowledge of unit testing frameworks and practices.
• Experience with real-time communication technologies (WebSockets, SSEs, HTTP/2 streaming).
• Basic understanding of Unix systems and command-line interface (CLI) tools.
• Proven experience in developing scalable, maintainable REST APIs.

Nice to have but not compulsory:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Golang.
