At Savi, we're looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join us in building Savi’s industry-leading cloud video, data integrations, and vision AI platform to help transform physical operations at brick-and-mortar stores globally.

Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Elixir, a passion for clean and efficient code, and a successful track record of owning high impact projects end-to-end.

What You Will Do

• Own and lead practical, high-impact projects such as orchestrating video and AI pipelines, testing and validating new analytics, and optimizing backend systems
• Write clean, scalable, idiomatic code
• Tackle hard, interdisciplinary problems alongside a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and domain experts
• Improve and invent the tools, workflows, and processes that help our small team punch above its weight
• Share your experience, mentor others, and help raise the bar for technical excellence across the team

What You Will Need

• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Elixir—or high interest and a strong foundation in a functional language
• Product mindset and interest in working close to real-world customer problems
• Track record of shipping quality software
• Strong handle on system design, trade-offs, and debugging
• Curiosity about working with video infrastructure, real-world sensor data, or applied AI—but not a requirement to be an expert
• The ability to learn fast, think laterally, and stay grounded in reality—our work touches real people and real businesses every day
