Senior Software Engineer

Pay Range: $97,376 - $155,802

Summary:

The Software Engineer contributes to Savers’s success by developing new features and functionality for our digital touch points. Experienced in transforming business processes and data to create interactive features that deliver efficiencies for Savers’s external and internal customers. Has a strong “customer first” perspective in thinking about what technology services and products would delight and make a business impact. Ability to work well with others, motivate other team members, and thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment. Able to set goals and achieve scheduled deadlines. This role reports to the Manager, Software Engineering.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to interpret business requirements to identify organizational and end-user needs and assist in the development of products to meet those needs
• Work closely with platform engineers, business stakeholders and solution managers from inception through delivery
• Demonstrates the ability to translate design document elements into application code and active participation in code and design reviews
• Transfers knowledge to peers and team members as appropriate,
• Helps in developing and documenting Software Development standards and practices.
• Understands the Software Development Lifecycle; helps ensure that application enhancements are developed using Saver’s development processes that ensure a high degree of software quality

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum 8+ years enterprise IT experience that includes hands-on software development and systems architecture experience with Dynamics CRM platform.
• Working knowledge of software design, tools and continuous delivery development process in an agile environment
• Exposure to working with Service Oriented Architectures, micro-services and event-driven architectures
• Successful past delivery of products hosted in public cloud, e.g., AWS, Azure, etc
• An engineer that can look at a wide range of technical problems and make decisions and provide recommendations to the team.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Business / Retail Operations background preferred.

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering

• Ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
• Ability to receive detailed information visually through written communication (both physical and electronic).
