Sanderson are working with a leading financial services organisation that places customers at the centre of its digital strategy. The organisation is continuing to invest heavily in its Customer Experience Platform, creating an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to take on a senior technical leadership role within a growing technology function.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer / Technical Lead to provide clear technical leadership and platform ownership for their TIBCO technology development

You will be acting as the technical authority for TIBCO Development, working closely with existing TIBCO engineers, delivery partners, and internal platform teams to:

• Lead and build enterprise‑scale integration solutions using TIBCO technologies (Business Works, BE, Flogo, Messaging) with a strong microservices and event‑driven architecture mindset.
• Play a key role in solution design and delivery, promoting best practices like TDD, secure API design, CI/CD and Agile delivery, while contributing to the technical roadmap.
• Collaborate, mentor and influence, working closely with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders, and coaching junior engineers to drive technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design innovative solutions to solve problems and meet requirements.
• Encourage and practice Test Driven Development and other Delivery Best practices.
• Working knowledge of Business Events approach and practices
• Hands-on experience for working TIBCO technology development with experience of building microservices applications, preferably using TIBCO Flogo/Business Works and Tibco Business events to handle event streaming and business logic as orchestrator having cache implementation
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of HTTP, API Design, REST / SOAP web services, messaging, and security frameworks.
• Being proactive, anticipating opportunities for systems, service or product improvement or development, and taking appropriate action(s)
• Coaching and mentoring junior engineers

Skills & Experience

• Hands-on Software Engineer with over 7 years’ experience of building microservices applications, preferably using TIBCO Flogo/Business Works.
• Must have experience of working in (ideally 3 or more) TIBCO technologies – i.e., TIBCO Business Works, TIBCO Business Events, TIBCO Flogo, TIBCO APIM, TIBCO Messaging, TIBCO FTL and Apache pulsar.
• Familiarity with databases, particularly PostgreSQL / MySQL.
• Experience with using standard tools and IDEs – e.g., Docker Desktop, GIT / GitHub, Postman, SOAP UI, Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.

Desirable :

• Knowledge and experience with Google Kubernetes and related GCP services.
• Experience in delivering applications for financial services / insurance companies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps and tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with containerisation products such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or Terraform.
• Experience with Analysis and Monitoring tools like Kibana/Heap/App Dynamics/GTM
• Experience with Security related frameworks / tools like Prisma, SonarQube
