About the Role

You will maintain and grow Upstart’s activation program for Personal Loans and Small Dollar Loans. The role owns customer journeys designed to help applicants complete their applications and successfully fund their loans, primarily through email, SMS, push notifications, and ringless voicemail.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate, launch, and optimize omnichannel journeys for new and existing customers.
  • Own end-to-end execution, including business strategy, creative direction, success metrics, and results reporting.
  • Translate business needs into detailed requirements such as audience criteria and conditional journey logic.
  • Estimate potential project impact on customer acquisition cost, revenue, and other KPIs.
  • Build and execute a hypothesis-driven testing roadmap for owned journeys.
  • Lead cross-functional lifecycle initiatives with product, technical, creative, and marketing teams.
  • Maintain and improve reporting dashboards in partnership with Analytics.
  • Serve as the Growth team’s CRM and lifecycle marketing subject-matter expert.

Qualifications

  • At least four years of lifecycle marketing experience.
  • Proven success delivering measurable results against KPIs.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable, revenue-driving insights.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and familiarity with BI tools such as Looker or Mode.
  • Strong understanding of statistical testing principles within CRM.
  • Experience managing complex projects across business, technical, and creative stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Iterable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with SMS or mobile push is strongly preferred. Experience working with a customer data platform, particularly HighTouch, is a bonus.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated US remote base salary is $138,000-$220,000 USD. Actual pay depends on geographic location, relevant skills, experience, and education or training.
