Power BI Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer for a contract-based role to support our data analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Power BI, SQL, and Data Modeling, and will be responsible for building scalable and insightful BI solutions. This position offers flexible hours that will vary depending on project scope and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Develop and manage OLAP cubes using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) or similar technologies a plus.
• Create and maintain efficient data models using DAX and Power Query.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across all BI deliverables.
• Integrate Power BI with other Microsoft tools and cloud services.
• Provide documentation and support for BI solutions.
• Stay current with Power BI updates and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Power BI development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and performance tuning.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
