Originating in 2015 as the doctoral research of CEO George Netscher—and inspired by his own family's experience with Alzheimer's disease—SafelyYou was spun out of UC Berkeley’s Artificial Intelligence Research Lab, one of the top five AI research groups in the world. And today, our company is solving critical challenges in senior living, from resident falls and ER visits to staffing concerns, length of stay, and NOI. Your Role at SafelyYou
We’re seeking a Lead Software Engineer (P5) to drive technical leadership on our Fleet Management team, which is responsible for the deployment, observability, and lifecycle of software across tens of thousands of edge devices. These devices are critical to SafelyYou’s ability to detect falls and deliver meaningful insights to care staff.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe and confident OTA (Over-The-Air) software updates, building scalable and reliable Go services, mentoring engineers (P1–P4), and acting as a pillar for quality and resilience.
