Data Scientist
Contract (9 Months + Possible extension)
Remote (PST Hours)

Pay Rate: $70-75 an hour on W2 (DOE)
 
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to support the design, development, and optimization of data infrastructure and advanced analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack data engineering capabilities and experience building scalable, production-ready data systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize data warehouse solutions.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and automated data workflows.
• Create and support an analytics “as-a-service” environment.
• Manage full-stack data processes, including:
  • Data collection and aggregation
  • Data analysis and visualization
  • Data enrichment
  • Model development and productionization
• Build and maintain infrastructure for:
  • Data labeling
  • Feature engineering
  • Model training and evaluation
  • Deployment of online and offline machine learning models
• Drive automation initiatives to improve scalability, efficiency, and flexibility across the organization.
• Develop and operate tools and systems supporting data integration and analytics workflows.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working with Databricks, Data Lake/Delta Lake, Oracle, AWS Redshift, or similar relational databases.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or equivalent cloud platforms, including data integration within ecosystems such as:
  • AWS Glue
  • Kafka
  • Elasticsearch
  • AWS Lambda
  • Amazon S3
  • Redshift
  • RDS
  • Kubernetes
  • BigQuery
• 2+ years of experience developing Python-based data pipelines and integration solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Self-driven and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple data integration demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership and deliver results with minimal supervision.
