Position: SEO Specialist

Work hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Australian Time

Compensation range: AU$2,500-AU$3,000/month

Our client is a dynamic web design and digital marketing agency based in Manly, Australia. They specialise in creating engaging, lead-generating websites and delivering comprehensive digital marketing solutions to help businesses thrive online. Their team comprises SEO specialists, web designers, paid media experts, and content creators, all committed to delivering exceptional results for their clients.

About The Role

We're on the lookout for a data-driven and strategic SEO Specialist to join our client's growing team! In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies that drive organic traffic, improve search engine rankings, and support our clients' customers' overall growth goals. You’ll work closely with their content, web, and performance teams to optimise on-page elements, conduct technical audits, and identify new opportunities for organic growth. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct keyword research to identify high-intent search terms aligned with client objectives.
  • Analyse competitors to uncover content, on-page, and authority-building opportunities.
  • Optimise metadata, internal linking, image alt-tags and structured data to improve rankings and engagement.
  • Execute local SEO strategies, including but not limited to Google Business Profile optimisations and securing citations.
  • Support technical audits by identifying and resolving speed, indexation, and crawlability issues.
  • Assist with content strategy by identifying relevant topics and search intent.
  • Research and secure opportunities for Digital PR, including link intersect analysis and media research.
  • Utilising the structured and efficient processes in place for SEO, as outlined by the internal team.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in SEO execution in a marketing agency.
  • Proficiency with Ahrefs, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, Surfer SEO, Muck Rack, and other common SEO tools.
  • Familiarity with using WordPress, Shopify and Webflow.
  • Dependable and consistent delivery of assigned tasks within agreed deadlines.
  • High standard of written English across all content, metadata, and communications.
  • Application of white-hat SEO best practices across all optimisations, as outlined by the SEO Strategist.
  • Proactive communication (via Slack, Email, etc.) with the SEO & Copywriting team to flag any roadblocks or questions.
  • Ensure company processes are executed efficiently and consistently to maximise capacity utilisation.
  • Completing tasks in a timely manner with a primary focus on the quality of output.
